Maldives or Maldive Islands (transcribed Vietnamese: Man Maldives; English pronunciation: / mɔldaɪvz / or English pronunciation: / mɔldivz /), officially the Republic of Maldives, is an island nation consisting of a group of atoll in the Indian Ocean. Maldives is located south of India's Lakshadweep islands, and about 700 kilometers (435 mi) southwest of Sri Lanka. Twenty-six atolls of Maldives which around a territory featuring 1,192 islets, roughly two hundred of these islands have local communities live.

Maldives nằm ở phía nam quần đảo Lakshadweep thuộc Ấn Độ, và khoảng 700 km (435 dặm) về phía tây nam Sri Lanka. The name "Maldives" derives from Maale Dhivehi Raajje ("The Island Kingdom [under the rule of] Malé") ". Some scholars believe that the name" Maldives "derives from the Sanskrit maladvipa , meaning "garland of islands", or from mahila dvipa, meaning "island of women", these names do not appear in ancient Sanskrit literature. Instead, the classical Sanskrit texts mention the "Hundred thousand Islands "(Lakshadweep); a generic name can not include the Maldives, the Chagos Islands Laccadives and group. some Arab travelers such as Ibn Batuta in the Middle Ages was called the islands" Mahal Dibiyat " slowly Mahal ("palace") in Arabic ". This is the name presently inscribed in the scroll of the Maldive state emblem.

Saint Martin Island
Saint Martin is a tropical island, located north of the Caribbean Sea, about 300 km from Puerto Rico to the east. The area is 87 km2 whole island was split 60/40 between France (53 km 2)  and the Kingdom of the Netherlands (34 km2); . This is the smallest island in the sea is divided by the two countries. The southern half of the Netherlands is called Sint Maarten and is one of four constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The northern half of France called Collectivite de Saint-Martin (Saint Martin Community) and is an overseas territory of France. January 1, 2007 the population of the entire island is 74 852 people, 38 927 people living in parts of the Netherlands,  and 35 925 in the French
