The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge linking the Golden Gate, the gateway to the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. As part of both US 101 and California State Route 1, the bridge joins the city of San Francisco on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula with Marin County.
Monsanto is a village and former civil parish in the urban areas of Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal. In 2013, the parishes merged into the new parish of Monsanto e Idanha-a-Velha. It covers an area of 131.76 km² and has 828 inhabitants (June 30, 2011). It was the main town of concelho from 1174 and the beginning of the 19th century, and the county seat of the period 1758-1853. In recent decades, Monsanto has become popularly known as "Portugal's Most Portuguese Village" in a class of twelve ancient villages classified in Portugal. The Portuguese emblem, Silver Rooster (Galo de Prata), designed by Abel Pereira da Silva, can be seen at the top of the clock tower or Lucano.

The Rainbow Village is a street art in Nantun District, Taichung, Taiwan. It was created by former soldier, Huang Yung-Fu, who was born in Taishan county, Guangdong province in 1924. The eldest of four brothers and two sisters Huang's artistic talents were revealed early on. He began painting houses in his settlement, now known as Rainbow village, to save them from demolition. Over the years his colourful artwork, which includes birds, animals and people, has spread over the remaining houses in the village, which once contained 1,200 homes.

Gudvangen is a village in the municipality of Aurland in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is a popular tourist destination and is located at the end of the Nærøyfjord where the Nærøydalselvi river empties into the fjord. The European route E16 highway passes by the village. Heading southwest on the highway leads to Voss municipality while heading northeast the E16 enters the Gudvanga Tunnel on its way to the villages of Flåm, Undredal, and Aurlandsvangen. The nearby village of Bakka lies about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) to the north. The Kjelfossen waterfall is located just to the southeast of the village.
A main geographic attraction of Farafra is its White Desert (known as Sahara el Beyda, with the word sahara meaning a desert) — a national park of Egypt and 45 km (28 mi) north of the town of Farafra, the main draw of which is its rock type colored from snow-white to cream. It has massive chalk rock formations that are textbook examples of ventifact and which have been created as a result of occasional sandstorm in the area. U Bein Bridge (Burmese: ဦးပိန် တံတား) is a crossing that spans the Taungthaman Lake near Amarapura in Myanmar. The 1.2-kilometre (0.75 mi) bridge was built around 1850 and is believed to be the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world. Construction began when the capital of Ava Kingdom moved to Amarapura,and the bridge is named after the mayor who had it built.
