Bonn, Germany

The city of Bonn lies to the south of the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen, and is situated by the Rhine River. Bonn is one of the ancient German cities and has the famous University of Bonn. Bonn is located about 25 km south of Köln on the Rhine in North Rhine-Westphalia. Bonn was the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1949 to 1990. Beginning in 1998, many national government agencies were moved from Bonn to Berlin. Both institutes of the German parliament, the Bundestag and the Bundesrat, have been moved along with the prime minister's house and the German president.

The quality of life in Bonn is very good. Clean and modern city. Public transport includes buses and trains to all corners of the city. You can also explore the city by cycling. This city has the roads reserved for bicycles very safe. Germans are very respectful of traffic laws, so even when walking you have to wait for red lights when crossing the road.





Bonn is not only an ancient city but also famous for cherry blossom. When spring comes, the "Altstadt" road is blossoming with blooming cherry blossoms, the most beautiful of which is about four years old.

The road is only about 1 km long, but the tranquil setting with its small squares or coffees makes the tourists unwilling to move.
